Tommy Cannon is one of Britain’s greatest ever straight men. As part of the long-running and hugely successful double act with his partner in comedy Bobby Ball, Tommy is a legend of Light Entertainment and Variety theatre. The Cannon and Ball Show was a Saturday night ratings winner, with regular viewing figures of eighteen million; while their summer season at the Opera House, Blackpool, was a record-breaking sell-out of twenty weeks. They even starred in The Boys in Blue, a feature length comedy for pioneering film-maker Val Guest. Tommy Cannon has been a familiar face on such television shows as Coach Trip, Celebrity Masterchef, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here, Pointless Celebrities, and Last Laugh in Vegas; and is fresh from his success as High Royal Highness the Emperor Tommisso Cannonisso in Aladdin, his first run in pantomime since Bobby Ball’s death in 2020. In this live and lively on-stage conversation with Britain’s Comedy Historian Robert Ross, Tommy will reveal the fun and laughter behind the scenes of a beloved comedy team, and poignantly, life in show business now without his friend of sixty years by his side. It’s a show of laughter and kindness, with one of the true greats of show business. Rock On, Tommy!<\/p>\n
