Spring tour, featuring Cannon and Ball, Harper, Little Albert and Barricade. See also photos of the show
Take three comedy double-acts and add a vertically challenged stooge, rehearse and simmer the whole concoction for a while, and the result is this brand new variety production. This show is the brainchild of Bobby Ball and it is apparent that he and his comedy partner of 41 years, Tommy Cannon, are both very much in the driving seat.
Mark Ritchie from The Stage wrote, Cannon and Ball are just as much of a powerful comedy presence today as ever they were. As for Funny Guys, its simply a good idea.
Joining Bob and Tom on stage are Harper, Bobby Balls two sons. They earn their place in this mixture of stand-up, sketches and song with good, clean and often manic fun. Barricades Craig and Jonathon are likewise a breath of fresh air, clever enough to borrow wisely from the past, but always with a slant on the new and, like Harper, they are musically talented.
Cannon and Ball clearly enjoy the ensemble pieces and their own act seems all the fresher for it. Little Albert may be the fall guy, but he earns his share of the standing ovation. Blackpool Gazette
