Hughie and Joyce Behan Present PART ONE INTERVAL PART TWO Your Host and DJ ‘SPARKY’ |
Dustin Gee
Following his fantastic personal success at Behan’s West Park in the summer season of ’75, Dustin Gee is delighted to be back for the current season at Jersey’s top cabaret venue.
Dustin is proud to have artistes of the stature of “Cannon and Ball” and Leah Bell on the show with … to say nothing of the fabulous Graham MacLean Dancers and the big sound of the Jack Duff Quintet.
Born in York, Dustin became an entertainer soon after leaving school. He formed and lead a group known as “Gerry B and the Rockefellers” which enjoyed considerable regional and national success. This gave him grounding as a solo comedian and impressionist – the man of many faces, expressions and great talent! “Who do you do?” … the “Wheeltappers” and “Rock Follies” . . . three of Dustin’s Gee’s television show series.
Dustin Gee is one of Britain’s top entertainers…..
Cannon and Ball
The ability to laugh at the most holy of our sacred cows is a well publicised trait of the British race and two Lancashire lads quick to realise the comedy potential in our much vaunted championship of the underdog are Messrs. Cannon and Ball, the brightest, most original comedy duo since Morecambe and Wise.
Mr Cannon is tall and suave, wears mohair suits and immaculate shirts. Mr Ball on the other hand is not tall, not at all suave and his dress sense would hardly secure him a place in the best dressed men charts!
If, then, Mr Cannon is top dog, Mr Ball is definitely under-dog and this situation forms the basis of the quick-fire cross talk act which has brought them success in virtually every field of the entertainment industry.
Mark Channing
Washington, the capital of America, was the training ground for Mark Channing, one of the most dynamic and spectacular coloured entertainers to hit the English scene for some time.
First in a group and then as a solo artist, Mark performed in many of America’s top venues, including The Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas.
He came over to this country shortly after he married his English born wife, to try his luck on the British cabaret scene.
He has now become both popular and respected with his polished and exciting act. During last year, Mark appeared on ‘The Charlie Williams Spectacular’, ‘The Golden Shot’ and he was the Stage Award Winner for the Best Male Vocalist.
This year, he is taking another country by storm – South Africa – where he is fast becoming that country’s leading record and cabaret star.
With many top cabaret bookings lined up for the future and a new record deal on the way, Mark Channing is a name not to miss!
MARK CHANNING appeared by arrangement with KENNEDY STREET ARTISTES LIMITED.

Leah Bell
She has been described as Mary Poppins, Snow White and the Bisto Kids all rolled into one! She is dynamic Singer/Entertainer LEAH BELL, a refreshing new personality destined to go high up the entertainment ladder.
Born just twenty short years ago in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, this fifty eight inches of talented dynamite first shook her parents by singing for charity in the middle of a Bingo Session at a Tyneside Club. It was not long afterwards that LEAH gave her first professional performance for a fee of 3/6d. From this humble start LEAH has gone on to give show-stopping performances at all leading clubs, theatres and nightspots in the United Kingdom supporting such internationally famous names as Gene Pitney, Vince Hill and Tommy Cooper. One seven day booking with Ken Dodd led to her touring the country with the famous funny man. LEAH has enjoyed further success in her tours of the Continent, Australia and South Africa and with a highly praised Summer Season in Jersey. Within minutes of seeing her cabaret performance Roy Todds, Director of the Empire Theatre, Sunderland, chose her for the title role of his 1973/74 pantomime ‘HUMPTY DUMPTY’. Whilst rehearsing for that pantomime part LEAH learned that she had been chosen by her fellow artistes, show-business writers and impressarios as ‘THE FEMALE VOCAL ACT OF 1973’ and for this received the “STAGE NEWSPAPER” Golden Jester Award. Then came a further surprise, the judges who saw the top five acts of their respective categories chose LEAH as the winner of the Supreme Award – the Bernard Delfont Silver Bowl as TOP ENTERTAINER OF 1973. This year has seen LEAH enjoying fabulous success on the Cabaret Circuit, two appearances on Tyne Tees Television’s networked show ‘SONGS THAT STOPPED THE SHOWS’ with more television planned as well as records and films. .
Grahame Maclean
Graham Maclean – three times winner of “Opportunity Knocks” in 1975! Since his successes on this top rating television series, Graham has appeared in cabaret at leading clubs and venues throughout the United Kingdom. In both 1974 and 1975 he was chose to appear in Clubland’s Command Performances at Batley’s famous Variety Club, and at Mecca’s top venues in Blackpool. Grahame’s versatile talents include “Pops” to Opera.
